56 Audi Statistics: Deliveries, Electric Vehicles, Markets, Finance and Sustainability

Audi’s 2024 statistics show a global vehicle business in transition: the brand delivered 1,671,218 vehicles worldwide, while fully electric cars reached 164,480. The same year brought lower revenue and profit for Audi Group, alongside a large model plan and expanding production-site sustainability commitments.

Audi described the overall 2024 worldwide delivery decline as almost 12% year over year; the exact Audi-brand comparison was 11.8%. The motorcycle figure is not an Audi passenger-car measure, so it should not be combined with Audi vehicle deliveries.

Audi planned more than 20 new models across 2024 and 2025, and more than half had already been presented by January 13, 2025. These are product-plan measures, not completed sales outcomes.

Audi also extended job protection at its German sites in Ingolstadt and Neckarsulm through December 31, 2033. That date describes a labor-agreement duration rather than a headcount statistic.

Audi Electric Vehicle Statistics and Model Mix

Audi’s fully electric category excludes plug-in hybrids, while other company statements use the broader phrase “electrically powered.” Keeping those definitions separate matters when comparing adoption across regions and models.

Audi delivered 164,480 fully electric cars worldwide in FY2024, down 7.8% from 2023. Those vehicles represented about 9.8% of the 1,671,218 Audi brand deliveries, a ratio calculated from the two company-reported counts and rounded to one decimal place.

The electric model mix included almost 108,000 global Audi Q4 e-tron deliveries in FY2024. The Q6 e-tron recorded almost 15,000 worldwide deliveries from its launch in the third quarter of 2024 through the end of the year, making it a partial-year launch figure.

Electric measure FY2024 result Comparison or definition
Audi fully electric cars worldwide 164,480 Down 7.8%; excludes plug-in hybrids
Europe excluding Germany Just below 82,000 Up 7% year over year
Germany Roughly 22,000 Down 33% year over year
North America excluding Mexico Almost 29,000 Down 6% year over year

Audi said half of its more than 20 planned 2024–2025 models would be fully electric and planned ten new plug-in-hybrid models by the end of 2025. Both statements are forward-looking plans rather than realized production or sales counts.

Audi Regional Sales Statistics Across Major Markets

Audi’s regional delivery statistics use specific boundaries: Europe excludes Germany, North America excludes Mexico, China includes Hong Kong, and Spain includes the Canary Islands.

Region FY2024 deliveries Year-over-year change
Europe excluding Germany 483,163 Down 6.0%
Germany 198,342 Down 21.3%
North America excluding Mexico 230,220 Down 12.7%
China including Hong Kong 649,900 Down 10.9%
Overseas and emerging markets 109,593 Down 19.0%

Source: 1.7 million deliveries in 2024: Audi forges ahead with its model initiative. “Overseas and emerging markets” is a residual company-defined region, not a standardized geographic bloc.

Within Europe, Audi delivered around 123,000 vehicles in the United Kingdom, around 48,000 in France, more than 67,000 in Italy, and over 39,000 in Spain including the Canary Islands. The year-over-year changes were down 11% in the UK, down 3% in France, up 1% in Italy, and down 4% in Spain.

French deliveries of electrically powered models rose 24% in 2024, while Italian electric-vehicle deliveries were roughly 3,000, up 7% year over year. Audi’s “electrically powered” category is not automatically equivalent to fully electric, so the French measure should not be treated as a battery-electric-only statistic.

China including Hong Kong remained a major Audi market at almost 650,000 cars in 2024. The rounded wording restates the exact table value of 649,900 cars.

Audi Model and Performance-Car Delivery Statistics

Three high-volume Audi nameplates reported for FY2024 were the Q5, A6 and Q3. Audi’s figures are rounded company values and represent worldwide deliveries.

Model or group FY2024 deliveries Geography or scope
Audi Q5 About 298,000 Worldwide
Audi A6 About 244,000 Worldwide
Audi Q3 About 215,000 Worldwide
Audi Sport More than 41,000; down roughly 14% Worldwide high-performance vehicles

Source: 1.7 million deliveries in 2024: Audi forges ahead with its model initiative. Audi Sport is a sub-brand and should not be added to the model rows as though it were a separate comparable nameplate total.

Audi Sport delivered over 9,000 vehicles in the United States in 2024, its best result to that point and up 4% year over year. This is a rounded count and a company-described record result.

In Europe excluding Germany, Audi recorded 84,000 A3 deliveries, 79,000 Q3 deliveries and 57,000 Q4 e-tron deliveries in FY2024. These regional model figures are not directly comparable with the worldwide model totals above because their geographies differ.

Audi Financial Statistics: Revenue, Profit and Cash Flow

Audi Group financial figures cover the Audi Group or Brand Group Progressive structure unless a measure explicitly refers to the Audi brand. The 2024 operating-profit figure includes restructuring expenses related to the termination of Brussels production.

Audi Group measure FY2024 FY2023
Revenue EUR 64,532 million EUR 69,865 million; down 7.6%
Gross profit from sales EUR 10,113 million EUR 11,289 million
Operating profit EUR 3,903 million EUR 6,280 million
Operating margin 6.0% 9.0%
Profit before tax EUR 5,000 million EUR 7,703 million
Profit after tax EUR 4,189 million EUR 6,260 million
Net cash flow EUR 3,072 million EUR 4,740 million

Source: Fiscal year 2024: Audi pushes ahead with transformation and model initiative.

Audi brand vehicle-sales revenue was EUR 41,577 million in 2024, compared with EUR 49,091 million in 2023. That is a vehicle-sales measure for the Audi brand, not the same scope as total Audi Group revenue.

Audi Group’s financial result was EUR 1,097 million in 2024, including EUR 651 million from business in China; the comparable 2023 figures were EUR 1,423 million and EUR 915 million. The China amount is a contribution to financial result, not China vehicle revenue alone.

The EU-taxonomy-aligned revenue share was 10.2% in 2024, down from 16.3% in 2023. This is a defined regulatory sustainability measure rather than a measure of total green revenue.

Audi Production, Workforce and Sustainability Statistics

Audi projected 2025 revenue of EUR 67.5–72.5 billion, an operating margin of 7–9%, and net cash flow of EUR 3–4 billion. These are management forecasts, so they should not be presented as realized FY2025 results.

Audi said all production sites had achieved net carbon-neutral production from January 1, 2025. Audi’s definition covers Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions at sites after reduction measures, with compensation for currently unavoidable emissions; it excludes emissions during vehicle use.

The Aluminium Closed Loop can reduce energy requirements by up to 95% versus primary aluminum production. “Up to” describes a maximum process estimate, not an average realized saving.

Audi estimated approximately 500,000 metric tons of CO2e net supply-chain savings in 2025 from the Aluminium Closed Loop and other measures. The figure is a company estimate and includes multiple measures rather than the aluminum process alone.

Audi’s internal decarbonization index models vehicle-use emissions over 200,000 kilometers for its passenger-car portfolio in Europe, China and the USA. That distance is the calculation basis for the index, not observed mileage for every vehicle.

At Audi’s German plants, a skilled worker received a EUR 5,310 profit share for 2024, compared with EUR 8,840 for 2023. This example is subject to the applicable labor-agreement formula and eligibility rules.
